there's a rod that goes into that shaft. its called a clutch push rod. and they come in different lengths. so, if ya didn't know, then you might order the wrong one. and then you'd find it's too long maybe. and after asking around, you might hear something like, "no, you can't cut it to fit." which would be pretty discouraging. so then you'd have to do some more research. then bust out that credit card and call up the guy and try again. and wait. and wait. and wait. and sunny days will come and go. but don't get discouraged. you're learning things.
